“Pau Hana” is Hawaiian for “Done with Work”
If you have time, freedom, and funds, you should try to do as much awesome stuff as you can, with as many great people as you can.
You’re not going to meet those people at “networking events,” and we can’t remember the last time we thought a conference was “awesome.”
Personally, we’d prefer to meet other successful entrepreneurs, empresarios, and entertainers while we:
Learn to drive rally cars at 160+MPH alongside pro circuit drivers
Get cooking lessons from and eat 9-course meals with Michelin-star chefs
Learn to surf some of the best waves on Earth, then fuel up and rest at 5-star resorts
Play with and learn from PGA pros on privately-reserved, legendary courses
Take helicopters to the world’s best distilleries and vineyards (don’t worry – the pilot won’t be drinking)
We do two simple things at Pau Hana Club:
Create once-in-a-lifetime experiences for our members.
Let them share those experiences with a hand-selected group of successful, fun people who we know will add to their network and their future opportunities.
Sound good to you? Then learn more about our private membership below. If you think you’re a good fit, we’ll be looking forward to your application.
PAU HANA CLUB MEMBERSHIP
Below, you’ll find a full walkthrough of our membership benefits and policies, along with answers to your most frequently asked questions:
Membership itself is free. Members pay only for the a la carte events and excursions that interest them most.
That depends on the event. Smaller local events (private dinners, whiskey tastings, etc.) run a few hundred dollars. Some of our more outrageous events (racecar driving lessons in Monaco) run into mid five figures.
Absolutely. While each event is focused on fun, we also include education, curated networking, and even “laptop time” with private office space (during our international excursions), and meet all the requirements of a tax-deductible outing. You’ll definitely feel like you’re “getting away with” writing off these events.
Members receive a once-weekly mailing (by email and snail mail) with invites to our first-come, first-served events, day trips, and adventures abroad. You’ll also get access to our members-only forum and online platform, where you can learn about our other members, keep up your connections, and get a first look at upcoming events.
We usually host one local (NYC) event per week, one day trip per week, and two international expeditions a month. Frequency depends upon demand and logistics.
It depends on the event. In cases where we do accept guests, you’ll need to pay for your guest to attend. We much prefer that you invite your friends and colleagues to join Pau Hana Club themselves, and we give membership preference to friends, family, and colleagues of current members.
We curate our events both in terms of who attends and in terms of what happens during each event.
New members complete a short survey so that we know what you are and aren’t interested in. We’ll only send you invitations to the events and excursions that are up your alley (and we’ll periodically reach out to further refine our invites).
New members also let us know who they’re most interested in meeting (and who they don’t want to meet). We then hand-select attendees for each event to make sure that everyone gets as many new connections as possible while they enjoy themselves.
Again, it depends. On longer trips, such as a skiing and sushi expedition to Hokkaido, we tend to strictly limit and curate our attendees (six max). At larger, local events, you can expect as many as sixty guests.
Confirmed guests to each event are introduced via email prior to attending. You’ll have a chance to learn about and speak with every other attendee before you arrive.
Most successful people have the money and the freedom to do awesome stuff, but they’re too busy to arrange it – so we take care of everything. From transportation (limos, party buses, helicopters, and private flights) to food (professional chefs and private dining on all our excursions), to world-class instruction (learn new skills and get training at elite venues from the best instructors on Earth), we think of everything and plan it all so you don’t have to. Just show up to learn and do amazing things with amazing people.
Pau Hana Club is all about creating life-long connections with amazing people. We hand-pick all our members to make sure that each experience is engaging, fruitful, and, above all else, fun.
To become a member, you MUST:
Be a decision maker. Whether you’re an entrepreneur, businessperson, or entertainer, we only accept applicants who run their own show.
Have complete control of your own schedule.
Be able to afford our events, which run from $250 to $65,000, at least once a quarter.
Be outgoing, interesting, and willing to share your knowledge, expertise, and network with our other members.
We will IMMEDIATELY revoke your membership if:
You try to sell your products or services to other members. We foster connections and partnerships, not sales opportunities.
You make unsolicited introductions or outreach to any member or member of his or her network.
You act like a jerk. We have a strict “no a$$hole” policy. Boorish, racist, sexist, threatening, or otherwise offensive behavior will get you instantly tossed.
You talk politics. Save it for the YouTube comments section, thanks.
